Think the Food Network’s Iron Chef meets camping.

On Sunday, June 22nd at Brewer Park, we hosting our 2nd Annual Black Box Chef Competition along with our Strawberry Social. Chef David Godsoe of Indulge Kitchen and Cocktail, winner of our 1st Black Box Chef Competition, is taking on this year’s challenger, Chef Stephen LaSalle of The Albion Rooms.

The chefs will be presented with their mystery box of seasonal ingredients from the market at the start of the competition. With a little more than an hour, they will have to work diligently and creatively to design a chef’s plate using all of the ingredients in the box. Members of the audience who have the opportunity to taste our chefs’ creations, can vote for their favourite dish. Competition starts at 10:00 am with the husband and wife team, Don and Jenn of the popular local food blog, Foodieprints, as our hosts.
