We’re teaming up with Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day for our first event of the season. Focusing on this year theme of getting kids into the kitchen, we’re hosting Chef Fiona McCarthy, the new Chef, Kitchen Manager and Food Coordinator at the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group. Chef Fiona has been getting kids to have fun cooking and eating the health fresh food that they’ve prepared to the amazement of many of their parents.Bring the kids and get them to join Chef Fiona as she demonstrates how to make two great dishes with our fresh picked asparagus – asparagus bruschetta and asparagus soup.
Chef Justin Scott of Kudos Cuisine will be preparing the much anticipated spring vegetable – asparagus – in three dishes: Asparagi in Salsa Verde, Asparagus and Minted New Potato Salad with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Grilled Asparagus with Cranberry Balsamic Glaze.
Our musicians, face painter, balloon artist and kids craft tent will also be in full swing for our first event of the 2014 Season.
