  1. 1. In large pot of boiling salted water, blanch kale for 1 minute; drain.
  2. 2. Shock in an ice bath (water and ice in a bowl).
  3. 3. Drain and pat dry.
  4. 4. In food processor, pulse together kale, walnuts, Parmesan cheese and garlic until coarsely ground.
  5. 5. Pulse in oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper until smooth.
