The Ottawa Farmers’ Market is seeking a talented and motivated person with not- for-profit experience to join our team!

This contract position will be to cover a parental leave, but as we grow our team and staff structure, the right candidate could be eligible to continue in a similar full-time permanent position with the OFM.

Start date: August 9, 2021
End date: December 31, 2022
Hours: Full time, temporary position at ~35-40 hours per week. Mostly weekday work, except for Sunday market days from May to December, and monthly meetings in the evening. Some additional weekday/evening meetings may also be required.
Compensation: $21.50-$23.00 per hour
Reports to: OFM Chair of the Board of Directors

The Ottawa Farmers’ Market is seeking a new Market Coordinator to join our growing team for the 2021-2022 season! The Market Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the market managers with on-site market operations, executing OFM programming, rolling out the weekly markets at all locations, and assisting with any events or community activities taking place at the market.

The Market Coordinator is the on-site, go-to person for vendors and customers, and will be responsible for overseeing a small team of market assistants on market days. While this is a temporary position, the right candidate has the potential to continue in a similar role as the OFM grows.

Start date: September 1, 2021 or earlier
End date: December 31, 2022
Hours: Full time, temporary position, ~35-40 hours per week, including weekend market days (Saturdays and Sundays).
Wage: $19.00 per hour
